Black Mold Symptoms – The Toxic Effects of Black Mold

If you have seen some slimy black substances around the walls of your home or even on your fences, it could be stachybotrys - also known as black mold. These microorganisms can be found indoors or outdoors and are more attracted to wet or moistened areas like water soaked woods, bathroom and ceiling tiles and even on certain foods. Black mold symptoms should never be taken for granted due to their mycotoxins. Due to their diminutive sizes, these toxins are considered to be airborne. Unfortunately, mycotoxins can also affect the fetus inside the mother's womb and the woman can suffer from multiple sclerosis and those cases that have been left untreated can even lead to miscarriage. Many women may also suffer menopause symptoms such as mood swings, skin flushing, hot flashes and night sweats. Moreover, they can also experience a metallic taste in the mouth, puffy eyes, hyperthermia, tremors and swollen lymph nodes.

In order to determine that black molds are developing in your area, watch out for the formation of any slimy substances in moist surfaces and their color can range from black to greenish-black. Furthermore, you may also want to observe some dark stains that can also be seen in moistened areas in your house. But perhaps, a factor that can definitely confirm the formation of black molds is the musty odor of these substances.

Luckily, there is always a way to prevent the occurrence of black mold symptoms and this can implemented by decreasing the level of moisture or dampness in the house. First of all, try to minimize any water leakages in any parts of your house most especially your bathrooms since this can be a perfect environment for those black molds to develop and replicate. Secondly, you must ascertain that your air conditioners or humidifiers are clean and well-maintained. Try to use some air purifiers and those moisture-resistant paints that you have in your house. Finally if you think that the infestation is too much for you to handle, it is strongly suggested to seek professional assistance as soon as possible.
