PCH Sweepstakes Review

If you have ever dreamed about winning a sweepstakes for millions of dollars you are not alone.  The thought of someone knocking on your door to hand you a large check and balloons is something you may fantasize about from time to time. With the increasingly popularity of the Internet, more and more opportunities have arisen for people to enter their name and address into a sweepstakes drawing for just about anything.  Probably the most famous sweepstakes in existence is the Publisher's Clearing House, often called PCH.  If you want to learn more about the PCH Sweepstakes, read this unbiased PCH Sweepstakes review.

Is the PCH Sweepstakes a Scam?

Can you win the PCH Sweepstakes?

With so many different schemes going around, it is not unreasonable to wonder if the chance to win millions of dollars is a scam.  PCH Sweepstakes are not scams.  They will award a specific number of prizes to winners each year and broadcast the winners on television or the web.  These winners are not actors.  While the sweepstakes are not scams, you have to understand that the odds of winning are very small.  Recent studies show that the odds of winning the $10 million sweepstakes through PCH is approximately 505,000,000 to 1.

What Are the PCH Rules?

Now that you understand that PCH is legitimate, you need to understand the rules before you fill out an entry form.  There is a drawing period for each sweepstakes and the entry form must be submitted before the expiration date of the drawing.  Another question many will ask has to do with whether or not you have purchase anything to win.  Keep in mind that no purchase is necessary to win the sweepstakes and if you do purchase any products it does not increase your chances of winning.  PCH will make this clear when you are entering in the sweepstakes because they were forced to pay a multi-million dollar settlement when entrants pursued legal action for buying products they did not have to.

How Do You Know If You Are a Winner?

In 2011, Veronica Trombino won the $10 million prize from PCH's prize patrol.  If you win a PCH sweepstakes, you will be notified by mail.  If you win the big prize, a Prize Patrol team will come to your doorstep.  If you are worried about the team not being able to find you, do not fret.  It has been known for the teams to show up at the entrant's job, the hospital, or even their new home if they moved.  Realize that no winner is notified by phone.

As you can see, PCH sweepstakes are real and far from a scam.  Just like with gambling, you should realize that the odds of winning are still very slim.  Make sure you fill out your entries if you ever want the Prize Patrol team to walk up your driveway.  If you are that special winner, you will not think that you wasted your time by filling out entry forms or driving to the post office.
