Uses for a Butane Camping Heater

While camping, and many other outdoor activities, is great for fun and recreation, it can become a bit uncomfortable when the weather turns cold. There are solutions, of course, such as the traditional campfire. However, this is not possible in many regions and so other means must be considered. One such item would be a butane camping heater.

There are many reasons why it would be necessary to replace the old fashioned campfire. Many areas prohibit the use of them completely, some have a lack of suitable fuel, and others are too close to highly flammable zones where a fire would simply be unwise. A butane heater can remedy these situations.

One of these heaters can provide a controlled source of heat, with no open flames or sparks to worry about. They are wholly portable, so the heat source can be put where it is wanted, and moved when you do. They are also a source of clean heat.

With one of these items you will eliminate the smoke and soot that are associated with traditional fires, and this eliminates the smoky odors as well. Butane burns with very little odor, and no smoke whatsoever, making it good for, say, people with allergies or who are otherwise sensitive to smoke.

Having one on hand is valuable for more than just camping, too. In case of power outages you can have a readily available heat source. If traveling to places that are on the primitive side, you can bring a heat source along on the trip. If your camping experiences are limited to staying in cabins, you can make sure there will be plenty of warmth within.

Even at home, when working out in the garage or yard, a butane camping heater can be employed to provide extra heat. One can warm up a patio or balcony. Having a heat source that is portable, clean, easy to operate, and ready to use anywhere is a good addition to any camping gear collection, or home preparedness kit.
